A new service for unschooling bloggers
If you would like me to copyedit your blog posts, you can send them to me here. I will endeavor to get them back to you within a few hours (unless you're in Europe or an early riser on the East Coast). I will limit my edits to spelling and grammar, leaving your writing style intact, and you will of course have the final say on what gets published.
My motivation for doing this is simple: Good writers are not necessarily good editors. I'd like to minimize editorial issues that distract readers from the important themes being discussed on unschooling blogs.
This is a free service.

Ronnie -I LOVE this! I am an Ok editor, but it's hard to find the time to look very carefully, when I usually just get minutes at a time to write. And I am a lousy typist.....
I will be sending my future posts to you first...can I do it with already-published ones, too? I know there are typos, but haven't gotten to fixing them....
You are so cool! =)
You can send me past ones now and then, but let's mostly start with future posts and see how much "business" I get. :-)
You're so cute when you're being obsessive.
I know, right? :-)
I figured being proactive was better than all the twitching.
Geez, you poor thing! I would never ask you to proof my blog posts. Just abstain from my blog. Proofing my stuff would be way worse for your sanity. LOL. But if you ever want to correct me, my comments are moderated. No one would ever see your comments, unless I wanted them to. I blog for me and my records, mostly. Some family members read my blog and keep up with me that way. I am usually blogging on the fly, or it wouldn't get done with two busy boys, and friends over all the time.
Good luck and have fun!
hey! undercutting the competition is bad form, ya know. :)
Awesome, Ronnie. Thanks!
That's really cool! I wish I could sic you on some of my old blog posts but I fear for your sanity. :)
Heather and Ren - Ah, I see you fail to understand the depth of my pathology. It's not the proofing that makes me insane; it's not having an outlet for all the proofing that really gets to me. :-)
And just so there's no confusion, editorial issues never keep me from reading my friends' blogs. Time sometimes does, but not the proofreader in my head.
Steph, I wasn't aware there was any money in blog editing. Have I been missing out all this time?!?!
Not yet, but I'm working on it!
I too am a "closet" editor. I noticed a grammatical error in my father in law's birthday card...the whole your/you're thing...makes me crazy, wish it didn't...but thank you for making me feel better about my obsession. ;) If you get flooded, I would love to edit some too!
You and Carolyn are awesome! What I have always appreciated about having someone proof read my work is the chance to better my writing skills. So, I hope some brave people take you up on your offer.
Ronnie, I came across this blog post and I thought of you!

She's my new-very-favourite-blogger and this post has some relevance to the comments here - I hope you enjoy.
I love it, Rebecca!
Here is the URL with linky magic.
I just discovered this, Ronnie: http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/
She's a blogger after your own heart. :)
D'oh! Rebecca left the same link. I guess you're on our minds. ;)
