Even pseudoAmerican cars. Mercedes used to make a fine automobile. They were pioneers in safety and engineering and made many advances which were adopted by other, lesser marques.

But since '98 they've been a Mopar product, although they tried to distance themselves again last year by selling of 80% of Mopar to an investment group. How the mighty have fallen. Pathetic.

BTW, the "new" Chrysler is also in bed with Tata, the Indian company which just bought Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford for about 1/3 of what Ford paid when they bought those marques. Interesting.

Hey, my friend's stepmother is going to India to hang with Tata's chairman. Apparently, they've been good friends for years. She's always wanted a Jaguar, but says if she gets one, she'll have nothing to dream about. I say if she gets one, she'll be dreaming about not having one...
