Happy Spring Celebration!
Here are some photos from the first part of our celebration, last night. We had our friends Lori and Brian over for a most convivial evening.

Oh, they're beautiful! This is the first year we haven't died ANY. (Well 'cept for that year of the car accident, doesn't count). I didn't expect to miss it so much -- the mess, the smell, the inevitable one that rolls off the table. SMACK! But they are so SPRING, aren't they? Lying smooth and cool in the grass, half-hidden.
Oh, crap -- I can't let that one go: DYED. Not. Died. *snicker*
Yes, "dyed," although I hope they're all dead, too. :-)
It was far too rainy here yesterday for outdoor hunts. It usually is. I think I can only remember three Easters in my whole life that were sunny, but I'm sick today and feeling a lot tired of the rain so that may be a gross underestimate.
So far, the kids haven't shown any sign of being done with eggs or Easter. If they ever get to that point, I'll probably still be breaking out the PAAS...
But our biggest "mess" was when cousin Megan cracked an egg against her forehead (on purpose) and left behind a lovely coating of glitter. She was very sparkly for the rest of the day.
