Some family notes
Please join us in wishing nephew Jerry (Judy's son) a safe deployment shipboard. Also, send lots of hugs to Cori to help her get through this lonely time. We love you both!
If you can catch a Michigan game, watch for niece Katie (Chuck's daughter) in the cheerleading squad. She's terrific!

Thought you might enjoy this Katrina footnote. My friend Anne's house was destroyed by 2 oak trees. Her cousin has a trailer she can use while her house is being rebuilt. She could put it on her property ,but that would entail a bunch of B.S.A friend gave her a connection to a campground(he had gotten from FEMA)which she decided to go with (FEMA will pay the rent for the spot). There is one catch....it's a nudist camp!We may not go visit her until she's back home!
Oh Judy - that story is rich!
Greetings to the fine Krewe of the ZP and all Maiers and friends. Especially thoughts and prayers go out to Jerry and Cori. Thanks Ronnie, as always, for the fantastic updates. I check every day :-)
Love,
Sonya
Frank, Veronica, Marjie and Chloe,
I just want to tell you how much all of us, your readers, have enjoyed and anguished with you on your travels. Without your taking us along, we would never have been able to fully understand living thru not only one but three hurricanes, evacuating, and being distraught about the outcome of the boat and life in New Orleans, Mississippi and Florida. Your trip was our trip, not only the trip of a lifetime for you all, but also a wonderful adventure for all of us. (We're just thankful we didn't have to get seasick!)
Thank you all, and thank you Veronica, for writing such a heartwrenching, touching journal of your adventures. We wouldn't have missed a minute of it. We all hope you will keep up your journal, Veronica, maybe publish it and start a new one about the "Further Adventures of the Maier Krewe", with or without the Zombie Princess". A children's book would be way cool, too. We're also waiting for Marjie to publish her book.
Keep writing; keep adventuring, and I for one will be extremely happy to have you home.

Veronica says she has something written but hasn't made it to the Internet Cafe yet to post it; the Krewe is still holed up in Key West nursing the ZP's owies (some damage to the stern and replacing a bilge pump) and soothing their own souls with some down time.
We'll be hearing from them soon.
